Daniel killed the evil bug this afternoon. I might actually survive this whare now. We only have a few days left here. I’ve really enjoyed myself. As opinionated as Harvey is, he is really great. He says a lot of important and meaningful things. I feel like he’s helped me to grow as a person. He was talking this afternoon about how the reason why he doesn’t demand certain hours for WWOOFers is because every WWOOFer brings something different to the experience. He talked about how one girl came before he was married to Dorothee and before the house was built and all she did was sit under a tree and play flute for him for 3 days. He thought that was great for the spirit of the land. He was making the point that if you can just accept whatever people have to offer and can bring to the experience it brings a whole new level of positivity. Don’t expect everyone to come in and just weed or cut wood, allow them to share their knowledge and learn from them in whatever they present to you. I really loved that. I think that’s really important. EVERYONE can teach you something. Oh, today I mediated up in the lotus paddock and it was really nice. It’s so beautiful there. I also got to help build a fence. I got much better with a hammer. I feel like I’m learning a good amount of things here. Oh! Last thing. I was talking to Klaus today and he gave me a great idea. He said at one of the other farms he was at the kids were homeschooled and the way they learned history was they would take an era and actually live it. So whatever tools, shelter, or food people used in that time, they would have to learn how to make and build. I thought was such a great way to teach history! I could definitely do something like that at my school. Anyways, I’m going to bed. Hopefully we won’t have to go back to cutting gorse tomorrow!
