Today we kayaked through Milford Sound. It was incredibly beautiful. I have decided New Zealand is the most beautiful place I've ever been, specifically the Fiordland National Park. I've been to 8 national parks now. Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Tetons, Volcano NP in Hawaii, Badlands, Carlsbad Caverns and now Fiordland. Fiordland beats them all by a long shot. However I was thinking about something this evening while eating my dinner at the hostel. I was talking to a guy from Alaska and a guy from Switzerland, and I was thinking as I listened to them share stories and experiences from hiking and traveling through other countries that I think the thing I really love the most about traveling is the people I meet along the way. The mountains, hikes and views are incredible but getting to talk to someone who is from half way around the world from where you live, and you are both in a different part of the world from your individual homes and you have both managed to end up in the same place at the same time is just so incredible. I love humans and hearing people's perspectives and stories. Life is just really incredible.
